We understand engagement rings seem like a complex decision but it doesn't need to be overwhelming. Read through our steps to guide you through the process for the perfect engagement ring.
Step 1: Observation and research
The first step is to observe and understand your partner’s taste and gold tone preference (yellow, rose or white gold) – take note of what they already wear or take them window shopping and see what type of jewellery they like, whether it's a simple classic style or fancy unique looks. Take a peek at her Pinterest account or Instagram for more ideas. Set a budget, save up or put aside an amount you feel comfortable with we can accomodate all budgets.
Step 2: Be creative
There's a growing interest in pink or yellow diamonds and coloured gemstones - sapphires, morganite and aquamarine, people are drawn to something different to suit their style. Stone shape is another important factor - circle, square, teardrop or rectangle.
Step 3: Meet with our jeweller
Come and visit us to talk through stone and design options. At Vin Moulds we have cultivated strong relationships with suppliers so we can source high quality gemstones or diamonds for you for the best price.
Step 4: Pay deposit
To secure your stone and ring design: pay a deposit to get the custom-make process started. This will take between 4-6 weeks for the completed ring. If you're the spontaneous type and need it ASAP we have a few rings in store ready for purchase. A simple solitaire ring can be brought to life within 1-2 weeks. Ask our jeweller for options.
Step 5: Pick up the ring and plan for the special day!
At last the ring is done! Come in store to collect your custom-made ring. Don't worry if the sizing wasn't accurate, we offer complementary resizing after you pop the question.
